Global immersion is a core part of the Minerva experience and plays different roles across Minerva’s programs.

Undergraduate students live and learn across multiple global cities, integrating coursework with each location. Graduate and executive education students take part in focused, high-impact experiences that connect learning to real-world contexts.

Your Global Itinerary

At Minerva University, every year you call a new global city home, not as a tourist but as a problem-solver, collaborator, and community member. Minerva's cities fuel your academics, provide real-world learning opportunities, and immerse you in local culture.

STOP 1: San Francisco

  • This year, master the four Cornerstone Courses that launch your global learning journey
  • Complete real-world projects with leading organizations such as Google, Adobe, Gensler, and the San Francisco City Government
  • Volunteer with local nonprofits including GLIDE, City Hope, and 826 Valencia
  • Explore the city through immersive experiences including habitat restoration at Alcatraz and the redwoods at Muir Woods

STOP 2: Tokyo

  • Build on your academic foundation by diving into your major coursework, while strengthening core skills
  • Immerse yourself in Japanese society, culture, and civic engagement through location-based assignments across the city
  • Collaborate with local organizations to tackle real-world challenges through civic projects
  • Experience Tokyo's neighborhoods and hubs while celebrating traditions like Exploration Day

STOP 3: Buenos Aires

  • Deepen concentration courses, pursue a Minor, and begin your Capstone process
  • Lead global projects, from policy design with local government to product innovation
  • Engage in civic projects and volunteer with housing-focused NGOs like TECHO

STOP 4: A European City

Past cities include Berlin and London

  • Study urban diversity, sustainability, and civic innovation through advanced coursework
  • Complete your Capstone project, applying your learning to real-world impact
  • Apply for prestigious fellowships and graduate programs, joining past global alumni
