undergraduate Career Development
From your first year through graduation and beyond, Minerva helps you connect your values, experiences, and ambitions into a life and career path that is adaptable, globally informed, and uniquely your own.
Career development at Minerva is woven throughout your entire educational experience—inside and beyond the classroom.
From your first year, you will:
Explore your values, interests, and strengths
Strengthen how you communicate your story and ideas
Apply your learning through projects, experiences, and connections in global contexts
You graduate with not only knowledge, but with the clarity, adaptability, and confidence to navigate a meaningful future.
Coaching is integrated throughout your student experience. Every student works with the Coaching & Talent Development (CTD) team throughout their time at Minerva.
Through 1:1 and group coaching with the Coaching & Talent Development (CTD) team, you’ll connect your learning and experiences to your evolving goals and aspirations.
CTD’s approach is grounded in three core areas of development:

Clarity
Understanding yourself, your values, and your direction

Communication
Expressing your ideas, experiences, and strengths effectively

Connections
Building meaningful relationships and opportunities across global contexts
Together, these areas help you navigate your future with greater confidence, adaptability and intention.
Coaching continues beyond graduation, supporting you as your career evolves.
Career development focuses on building capabilities that extend across roles, industries, and experiences.
Through academic work and applied learning around the world, you’ll strengthen skills such as:
Communication and storytelling
Relationship-building and collaboration
Decision-making and problem-solving
Adaptability and cross-cultural engagement
Professional presence and self-direction

At Minerva, learning extends beyond the classroom into the cities, organizations, and communities where students live and study. Through applied projects, internships, research, and collaborative experiences, students connect academic learning to real-world challenges across global contexts.
Throughout their studies, students work in teams to tackle real challenges in collaboration with civic partners, organizations, and industry leaders. These experiences help students develop practical skills while learning how systems, organizations, and communities operate in practice.
Opportunities include:
Team-based projects with local and global partner organizations
Work-study roles during the academic year
Research and project-based labs
Along the way, students build relationships with professionals, receive mentorship, and create tangible work such as research, strategy recommendations, prototypes, or policy ideas.
By graduation, students have experience applying their skills in real-world contexts, not just concepts in theory.
